Analysis and prediction of favorable industries by "counting from the east to the west"

The current situation of China is that the eastern economy is developed, while the western development is relatively lagging behind. The same is true for the development of digital industry. Most of China's data centers are distributed in the eastern region. Due to the increasing shortage of land, energy and other resources, the large-scale development of data centers in the eastern region is increasingly restricted by the natural endowment of land, energy and other resources. On the contrary, China's western region is rich in resources, especially renewable energy, and has the potential to develop data centers and undertake the demand for computing power in the east. In recent years, several leading Internet companies have built data centers in Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Guizhou and other places. The data center has moved westward.

Recently, the scale of China's data center has reached 5 million standard frames, and the overall listing rate of the country is 50.1%, while that of East China, North China and South China is about 66%, higher than the national level; 39% in central China, 34% in the northwest and 41% in the southwest, respectively. These regions are basically at the same level, both lower than the national average. In February this year, the notice jointly issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Central Network Information Office, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Energy Administration clearly stated that the average listing rate of new data centers should be at least 65%. The listing rate in the western region is low, which can be seen from two aspects: first, its future increment space is larger; Second, in the near future, it can meet the requirement of shelf rate by transmitting computing power to the east.

At present, China's total computing power has reached 130EFLOPS (1.3 trillion floating point operations per second), and is growing rapidly at a rate of more than 20% per year. Compared with the west, the east has a faster growth rate, and the west has a huge potential to undertake the demand for computing power in the east. The East Digital West Computing is to orderly guide the demand for computing power in the east to the west by building a new computing power network system integrating data center, cloud computing and big data.  
The eastern hub handles businesses with high requirements for network response, such as industrial internet, financial securities, disaster early warning, telemedicine, video call, artificial intelligence, etc.

The Western Data Center handles the business that does not require high network speed, such as background processing, offline analysis, storage and backup.
In other words, those that need immediate feedback can be solved quickly in the east, and the data processing that is not in a hurry can be handed over to the western computing power center for calculation.

Then, to transmit the massive data generated in the east to the west, it is necessary to build a nationwide integrated computing network, which is conducive to solving the imbalance between the demand and supply of data processing in the east and the west.
